Karin’s most recent work has focused specifically on building veteran employment programs with employers for transitioning service members, veterans and military spouses. She created programs to bridge the gap between employers and veterans through streamlined outreach, brand development, training and strategy.

“I am extremely excited to join the FASTPORT team and dive into working collaboratively with our employers, partners and supporters. FASTPORT’s mission is the continuation of my professional and personal purpose—to simplify and ease the transition process for both veterans and employers to bring meaningful employment to both veterans and military spouses,” said Karin. “FASTPORT’s digital tools support some of the most successful military hiring initiatives today including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes Program, the USO, the President George W. Bush Institute, the National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve. There is no organization better positioned to impact veteran employment than FASTPORT.”

The fact that she is a military spouse gives her a unique perspective, according to Brad Bentley, President of FASTPORT. “It is rare to find someone with niche media sales and marketing expertise who can also be relatable to the jobseekers that utilize our matching platform and digital tools,” Bentley said. “Karin’s skill-set has led to success throughout her career, and her vision aligns perfectly with our commitment to serve the Military Family unit.”

CareerSpark, the digital tool that FASTPORT designed for Hiring Our Heroes, spotlights employment issues unique to military spouses. This focus has a personal meaning for Karin: “I was honored to be the 2017 Wright Patterson Air Force Base Military Spouse of the Year and Top 3 Finalist as Marine Corps Military Spouse of the Year, and I am dedicated to raising the visibility of spouses to potential and current employers.”

“With the new year fresh in our minds, FASTPORT is reaffirming its constant resolution to provide the military community with great careers from industry leaders who are ready to compete for an incredible talent pool,” said Bill McLennan, CEO of FASTPORT. “We are confident that Karin’s professional acumen in this employment-centric arena and personal dedication to the military will ensure FASTPORT continues to fulfill and exceed its promise to our nation’s heroes.”
