Lowell, MA - FASTPORT has announced the release of its JobMaps™ mobile application that will allow drivers to find and apply for jobs in the trucking industry from their smartphones.
“With nearly 70% of drivers using smartphones on a daily basis, it’s essential the trucking industry take advantage of that mobile technology,” said FASTPORT CEO Bill McLennan. “We are thrilled our mobile app will provide our partner carriers with a simple, effective way to attract and hire those technology-savvy drivers.”
The mobile app allows job seekers to search JobMaps™ from any location. JobMaps™ is FASTPORT’s version of a job posting that ties trucking-specific job attributes to carriers’ hiring areas. The release of FASTPORT’s new mobile app means that carriers using JobMaps™ will access the fastest growing job searching channel.
Using the app, drivers can explore thousands of trucking industry jobs on an interactive map and then filter them based on job preferences. Just some of these filters include the driver’s preferred job type, equipment type, salary, location, hometime, and previous industry experience. Once they find their desired position, drivers create a unique user-profile that allows them to apply for the job in one click.
“FASTPORT’s app makes searching and applying for a trucking job simple and fast, whether drivers are at a rest stop, diner, or home with their family. We are proud to say the convenience our mobile app brings is making it easier for carriers—and the trucking industry in general—to connect with current and future drivers,” said FASTPORT co-founder Jim Ray.
